Being A Rogue Monkey

I’ve never been sure when it started, maybe it’s part of my DNA, but when everyone is following & going 1-way, I can’t help it, I have to go the other

Only a few months ago, I was told I was a Rogue Monkey, which is a story I’d never heard before. Perhaps you know it?

A bunch of caged monkeys, conditioned to not climb the ladder to grab the prize bananas & a new “rogue” monkey arrives, who questions the rules, breaks them & benefits from gaining the bananas for all

I’ve never thought myself as a rule breaker, but more a rule questioner!

To me, just because it’s always been done that way, doesn’t make it right nor the best way to do something today. I know it can be irritating to the team in the short-term, but in the long-term, the right way, the best way to do something has to be THE WAY to operate

That’s why my world today has been created by my dedication to finding the market “white space”, the fast emerging demand for new innovative products, created from a new design & collaborative approach, care of product innovation platforms, the “old boring”, but now the NEW & EXCITING world of PLM & the execution through Smart Manufacturing

I love it because it re-questions how things have “always” been done & is rewiring how things need to be done in the 4IR

Andrew — going rogue!
